The Condor in the Art of Mamani Mamani
Roberto Mamani Mamani was born in 1962. His aymara roots come from Tiahuanacu La Paz, Bolivia. His paintings offer an individual and personal view on the rich andean world. Well, I have concentrated on a part of this mountaineous regions, the andean condor. The condor is a vital part of the andean cultures and so it is natural that Mamani Mamani honours the condor in his paintings, too. With Mamani Mamanis permission I reproduce his condor series on my website. On this site (the one you are currently reading) you can see the thumbnails of the various paintings. Click on them or on the titles below to open up the page where a larger version of the paintings can be seen. If you click on these larger ones, you can view the paintings in much better (but larger) format, on occasion with some commentaries. Roberto Mamani Mamani is himself in the WWW with his workings. If you want to know more and more detailed informations, or want to see his other works, you are invited to visit his Pages!
